From a young age, I was drawn to capturing moments through photography, with my love for cinema fueling my passion for visual arts. I’ve had the opportunity of exhibiting my work at spaces like the San Diego Art Institute, Bodega Gallery, and the Oceanside Museum of Art.
Growing up in the Southern California desert deeply shaped my artistic expression. The stark beauty and geometric patterns of the landscape influence the clean lines and simplicity in my work.
Watching films, too many maybe, like Meshes of the Afternoon by Maya Deren, Branded to Kill by Seijun Suzuki, The Hitchhiker by Ida Lupino (the first noir directed by a woman!), and everything by Bergman, Fellini, Almodóvar, Buñuel, the Wachowskis and Argento has been a constant source of inspiration.
I truly believe in the power of arts and culture to uplift communities and hope to continue using my creativity, in any way possible,to make a positive impact.
